this<\/strong> project, we designed a modular <strong data-start=\"253\" data-end=\"264\">system<\/strong> capable of handling <strong data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"330\">complex rotations and tilts<\/strong> directly on the shop floor. Moreover, in addition to the <strong>mechanical design<\/strong>, we handled all the <strong>structural checks<\/strong> because, when moving segments of a launcher, <strong>regulatory compliance<\/strong> is not just bureaucracy: it is <strong>ensuring that nothing gives way<\/strong> while maneuvering tons of space technology. target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FEM analysis<\/strong><\/a> was not just to confirm that the structure did not collapse: on the contrary, the real goal was to <strong>remove material<\/strong> where it was not needed. Indeed, we often tend to oversize to be safe; however, a conveyor that is too heavy becomes slow and difficult to handle, especially when you have to make <strong>fine alignments<\/strong>. <strong>Consequently<\/strong>, the <strong>simulation<\/strong> allowed us to see where the structure flexed too much during <strong>tipping-the<\/strong> critical moment for <strong>stability-and<\/strong> then stiffen only those points, <strong>lightening<\/strong> the rest. Basically, it's a balancing act: we wanted robust <strong>safety margins<\/strong>, but without wasting steel. The platform achieves <strong>\u00b11 mm alignment and rotation accuracy<\/strong>, which was achieved by the dedicated level of <strong>alignment<\/strong> and functional separation. In addition, FEM-guided structural optimization resulted in a reported reduction in material use of <strong>-20%<\/strong>. From an operational point of view, consequently, a <strong>35%<\/strong> reduction in <strong>average handling time<\/strong> compared to previous solutions is indicated. <strong>100%
