The Challenge: making modularity immediately understandable
Grasselli tasked Asotech with creating a technical 3D animation to highlight the modularity and flexibility of its meat processing systems.
In an industry where scalability is a competitive advantage, describing complex configurations through static images is often difficult. This project aims to overcome this limit by transforming technical concepts into an immediate visual language.

The Asotech Solution: a 3D video oriented towards sales and configuration
Asotech developed a 3D animation entirely in CGI, designed to show the modular logic of the system in an orderly and readable way.
The video was built to focus on:
the ability to combine multiple machines
configuration flexibility based on production needs
a “system-wide” view of the line, rather than isolated individual machines
To achieve an effective sales result, the direction and structure of the video were designed to guide the viewer through the plant, highlighting modularity with a clear, clean, and technical visual language.
Technical Focus: exploded views and interconnection readability
To make the concept of modularity evident, it was essential to show the system not only in its complete form but also through stages where the structure was “deconstructable” and readable.
The video includes exploded view sections, useful for:
highlighting the main modules
explaining how elements integrate with each other
communicating the idea of a configurable and scalable range
In a commercial context, this choice allows for the rapid communication of the system’s value: a set of machines designed to work in synergy and adapt to the final customer’s requirements.
3D Production: from technical foundation to final rendering
The project was developed starting from technical material provided by the client, using native STEP and CAD files as a working base.
From here, Asotech managed:
model reworking and optimization
geometry preparation for animation
organization by functional modules and sub-groups
construction of movements and explanatory sequences
lighting and rendering with a clean, industrial style
The entire process was designed to maintain visual consistency and technical precision, while ensuring a fluid result suitable for commercial use.
